What's on your wedding menu?

We're working on deciding what will be on our menu and I was just wondering what was/is on yours??

We will have 2 stationary hors d'oeuvres, 7 passed, salad, 2 entrees and 1 vegetarian entree. We'll probably do a steak and fish for the entrees but we haven't decided on the sauces yet. FI is a really picky eater - I swear there are like 5 foods in the world he likes, so I get to make most of the decisions.

Italian wedding soup, caesar salad, and our entrees were Salmon Teriyaki, Lemon & Rosemary Chicken and Prime Rib for dinner.

We're having two carving stations- Prime rib & turkey, and then a pasta of some sort.
    Green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls...

We're kinda going with a Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner type theme.

Ours is insane.  We are having passed hours 'douvres, Asian station, pasta station, fruit, crudite, cheese display, mashed potato bar, Mediterranean station (gyros), cold seafood station, sliders station, and martini bar for cocktail hour.

Sit down dinner - pasta with red sauce, salad with mandarin oranges, feta cheese, pine nuts and creamy balsamic, intermezzo lemon sorbet, and our entrees are Chilean Sea Bass, Chicken Gardenier (stuffed with veggies and cheese), Filet Mignon, and vegetarian canneloni stuffed with veggies and cheese.

Passed desserts (cookies and milk shots), Viennese table, bananas foster/cherries jubilee station, ice cream bar, chocolate fountain, cheesecake martini bar,  breakfast bar of pancakes and waffles, international coffee bar, and wedding cake!

I am telling people not to eat for a week before they come.

cheese and hummus display, basic bread, and bagel chips as well as 4 different kinds of bruscetta (sp?), then 4 passed hours 'douvres (Coconut Shrimp, Foccacia Chicken Bites, baked brie w/ rasberry jam, and something that my FI chose (steak something) then 2 stationary hours'douvres which I can't remember for the life of me.

Either this crazy good melon soup (great for our June wedding) or Caesar Salad, Blood Orange Chicken with Barley, NY Strip Steak, and a Vegitarian option (all come with seasonal veggies and garlic mashed potatoes)

Dessert is wedding cake, groom's cake, and they serve the cake with ice cream and then we have a midnight snack bar which will primarly be candy (with a few fav. salty snacks)

Wow!! You ladies have a ton of food at your weddings! And it's making me hungry!
Our cocktail hour started at 1PM, so we didn't have as much food; it was a little lighter. We had a cheese/cracker/crudite display plus 3 passed hors d'oeuvres (coconut lobster tails, bacon-wrapped scallops, and philly cheesesteak eggrolls). We had a salad course and then a choice of 2 entrees (center cut pork loin w/dijon and chicken cordon bleu). Dessert was wedding cake served with ice cream plus a cookie buffet featuring homemade cookies from 3 of my aunts.

Cocktail hour is before the ceremony- 7 passed, cheese/veggie display, and a pasta station.

Dinner is a salad, intermezzo, and a chicken/fish/or vegetarian entree.

Dessert is wedding cake on a dressed plate- whatever that means.

We haven't picked exactly what we are serving yet.  But there should be plenty of food.

Make that an RSVP for two -- we'll keep each other company in the corner!

Ours was delish, but I have to admit I didn't have time to enjoy cocktail hours and am not sure what was even passed!

Cocktail Hour: our friends were more concerned about the bar, but we had an international cheese display with the normal crudite, and some other display and  6 passed morsels of deliciousness.

Dinner: Chilled strawberry soup, rolls and butter, either chicken stuffed with boursin cheese or salmon.

Dessert: I don't even remember what the served dessert was. Sad. Then there was a sweets table with petit fours, etc, and a coffee display, and wedding cake.

And now I'm hungry. For wedding cake. And Nicole's third entree option. Were they actually broiled to perfection?
And they're the five best friends that anyone could have, the five best friends that anyone could have! Photobucket

Hahaha, the Merion does it big.  That's how we roll in Jersey.

Actually, I would like some strawberry soup.  My apartment is hot, and that sounds super yummy.

God I love strawberry soup!  Saw a great thing to serve, a piece of brie, a strawberry, and a sprig of mint on a bamboo toothpick...wow did it look good! Simple and easy if anyone's mom is cooking for the wedding.  Also would make a nice addition to your cheese table.  All bite size and easy.  Best of all NOT MESSY! I hate messy food at weddings.
