And yet another Escort Card Question...

Sorry if it's been asked guys!

Are you going to put the names in alphabetical order (if you're doing regular cards)?

Do couples get written on the same card? If your guest is bringing someone who is not a date (say a same sex friend), would you do an individual card for the friend or write them both on the same card?

Thanks!

Re: And yet another Escort Card Question...

  • I have to give my venue our cards in alphabetical order for them to set out.

If I have a couple they are going on the same card (I invited over 200 guest so having one per guest is WAY too much) if the couple is not married I will use the actual guest as the first person and for alphabet purposes.   However if I have a person bring a same sex date who is not a sig other I would give them separate cards
  • Mine have to be in Alphabetical order for the venue.

I am putting couple on one card. For the other question I am not help as no one got a guest who isn't in a relationship.

  • I was wondering how to deal with this for unmarried couples. I wasn't sure if I should put the male first or the female first, so I looked it up, and the general consensus seemed to be to put whichever guest you invited first, but put them on one card.

For non-couples, I put the +1 on their own card, b/c it seemed a little odd to put together on one card.

We are doing an escort chart so ours will be in alphabetical order.  For our friends who are not married but they are dating we are doing the name of the person we are friends with and listing their date next to their name on the same line.  I didn't want to break the couples up on the board.  So I have for one Mr. John Doe and Ms. Lynz Jones.

  • Going to be in ABC order mainly because it'll make it 1,500% easier for the guests to find their cards.

Doing one per person because their meal choices will be included on the card.

Nancy I was going to ask this same question on the thread I posted last night haha! This was perfect :)

Ok so.. what about kids? There's a few 12 yr olds coming. I plan on putting married and unmarried couples on the same card, but I'm lost on the kids. Do family units (with somewhat younger kids) go on one card? When I imagine my little 12 year old cousins looking for their escort card... I dunno, it just seems off.
  • Ours will be in alphabetical order, one card per person, including all children.
