Kinda wedding related : White prom dresses

I just don't like them! Especially the ones that look like they can be wedding gowns.

What are your thoughts?

My best friend wore a white dress to prom our senior year. I wasn't a fan of it, but she looked pretty.

hmm, I actually wore one but I was 17 so I didn't know any better. I would not do it now though... it was a-line, spaghetti straps and had little rose buds on it. I can't believe I will show this... lol  I am on the end.

Your dress looks like a prom dress to me! I guess I am more bothered by the dresses that look like wedding gowns. What will these girls wear to their weddings?

Oh ok   I got that dress at Deb hehe. I suppose you mean they wear white strapless beaded gowns? I haven't paid much attention to prom but one woman I know posted pics of a girls prom and they just look slutty if anything hehe.

and the slutty aspect. A girl had to put on a t-shirt from the DJ at our Junior prom. These girls are half naked compared to what she had on!

I agree that the dresses these days are WAY more revealing than anything I had to choose from in the late 90s.

All the dresses I've seen are really really revealing. I was all about a bit of an open back.. but this isn't a little bit of an open back, these are high high slits, VERY low cut in the front, boobs sticking out, back cut out to your but crack.... trash. I would buy my daughter a white prom/wedding gown for prom way before one of these trashtastic gowns.

I don't mind the bridal gown. What I do mind, is my daughter looking like a wh0re. You want to look like a princess or a bride, go for it, jsut cover that shitttt up!

My boss showed us a pic of her 15 or 16 year old granddaughter.  She looked cute, but the dress was way too low cut.  It looked like something I should be wearing.  My coworker said he felt uncomfortable looking at the pic because he has a 15yr old sister and he wouldnt want her wearing that.

Young girls are always trying to dress older, I don't understand why! Be young! It doesn't last forever.

The big bold prints kill me more than anything.  Had no idea they were doing prints like that for fancy soirees. 

Everything has changed since the mid-late 90s when I went to prom.  Even the dancing is different.  I watch these reality shows where the girls are basically dry humping the guys and am totally stunned.

I confess, I am guilty of wearing a white dress to a dance.  Not once, not twice, but three times.  I'm a repeat offender

B2B- we did corsages for the 8th grade dance and Soph Hop.  By the time proms came around, we upgraded to bouquets, I guess.  To be completely honest, my mom ordered everything.  I just held it for hte pictures, haha.

I wish I could find the bouquet my friend had from our senior prom.  It seriously is like three feet long-  it's straight up Miss America material!

BP- my MOH and I were in the Nordstrom at the KOP mall last month ,adn soooo many girls were looking at prom dresses that were a little slutacious.

I wanted to grab the mom's arms and be like "HOW ARE YOU ALLOWING YOUR DAUGHTER TO COME OUT OF THE DRESSING ROOM LIKE THAT??"

Oh, I am not sure many girls in my school had bouquets either. Maybe they did, I just didn't pay any attention.

I, retrospect, we looked kind of wedding-y but it was totally unintentional. I am obviously second from left, next to my HS sweetheart of two years who is currently waiting tables as a starving actor in NYC   Next to me is my best friend, who would later be maid of honor at my wedding, and HS boyfriend's best friend.  Good times :P

I had a white rose bouquet for Sr prom I loved that thing. I wish i had pictures, the ex's mom has them all, booo. :-(
