I need help with wording!

Hello everyone, I've been a lurker here for quite some time and have a question..

FI and I met 5 years ago while working on a mission team in Honduras.. and have been together ever since..

We wanted to give a donation to Mision Caribe in lieu of a favor and we are wondering how to word it..  (but we are having a candy buffet- so I guess that is a favor) Help Please?

    Here's what we are using:

    In lieu of favors, a donation has been made in your honor to XYZ, an organization dedicated to XYZ.  The finest gift of all is one that helps others.  We truly appreciate your love and support as we celebrate our special day!

    We are using something similar.  We may include information about the charity too, mission statement, etc.

    We are going to use similar wording, I like the donation better then a favor. I volunteer with an animal rescue group and would much rather give them money then buy some favor that will most likely end up in the trash the next morning.

    We donated to Corgi rescue.  Here's the wording we used:

    "Dear Family, Friends, and Guests,
    In lieu of traditional wedding favors,
    we have chosen a special way to say "thank you" for sharing this happy day with us.
    In celebration of this joyous day, we have made a donation in your honor
    to CorgiAid, Inc. so that rescued Pembroke and Cardigan Welsh Corgis
    may have the opportunity to live happier, healthier lives.
    We truly appreciate your presence on this special occasion.
    With much love,
    Heather, Colin, and Mac"
