VENUES - Newly Engaged

Hello!

I am a new bride and my fiance and I are currently searching out venues in the Delco, Monto, Chesco areas for March/April 2013.

Has anyone ever had anything at Riverdale Manor, Holly Hedge Estate or Phoenixville Foundry and can you supply approximate costs? We want to get married/reception all in one location for about 150 guests.

Phoenixville Foundry has an outside caterer you have to use.  They quoted me $3500 in room rental plus catering costs ($87-$100/plate range).

The Foundry is beautiful but pretty pricey depending on time of year and night (Friday seems a little less).  We also checked out Rivercrest (Collegeville area) and it was pretty reasonable. I think all-in it would have been around $20K, that includes alchohol, food and a few extras that they throw in.  We probably would have gone with that if I wasn't such a brat and wanted to be different!

I looked into Holly Hedge because I looove it. It's rather pricey, but I can't recall what it ended up being because I seem to have deleted the email as soon as I got it because my fiance didn't like it. (Sorry -- that's not super helpful. Also, I totally disagree with him and think it's awesome.) If you're looking for other suggestions, we ended up choosing Cairnwood, which is in Montco. It's gorgeous if you like this style: www.cairnwood.org

Bridetobe, I heard great things about Cairnwood.  Who is your caterer?  I know mine (Sage) does a ton of weddings there.  We went with The Highpoint, it's in Malvern.  Super cheap to rent the space ($300) but you do have to bring everything in.  That's really what I wanted though.  Some days I think I'm crazy for wanting that!

My caterer is Jimmy Duffy. I'm so excited for that part since we haven't yet chosen our menu. Oh - and I have heard great things about Sage, too!

Hi! I don't know anything about pricing but I was just talking to someone who got married at Holly Hedge and she loved it! Said it was gorgeous and recommended it. Hope that helps

We booked Pine Crest Country Club.  They are amazing.  Sherry who is the consultant is awsome. I have been able to bring my family, my fiance's family.. who ever I want.. Whenever I wanted.They are a little expensive.. but they include cake,flowers 5 hour open bar, top shelf, Golf Carts to go wherever we want to take pictures, they even include a really cute Card Box so it's one less thing I have to worry about.. and they through in uplighting for the reception.  Check them out! They are awesome!
