Wedding Recap!

FYI this is the same exact post as on FB so if you've already read my novel feel free to move along haha. I just know not everyone is on there so I thought I'd fill the rest of you in if you are curious!

Hi ladies!!! I finally have some down time so I thought I'd stop by and give you girls a wedding recap. This will probably be waay long, so the CN's are it was hot as hell and flew by and was absolutely perfect.

The girls met at the hair salon at 8 and that took about two and a half hours. Once we got to the venue, the makeup artist came and did everyone's makeup. This part of the day was the longest because when you weren't getting your makeup done, you were just sitting in the bridal suite waiting, and I was so so so nervous. And the cake was four hours, yes four hours late, so I was worried about that. The wedding coordinator took care of everything though, and it got there about a half hour before the ceremony started.

The flowers, oh my god the flowers, were to die for! I was SO happy with them. My bouquet looked damn near identical to my inspiration picture and the centerpieces looked amazing, I could go on and on and on.

Justin and I didn't see each other before the ceremony but we did some wedding party pictures in separate groups before the ceremony. We had to be super fast because it was ungodly hot and the flowers couldn't be out in the heat for long. We got them back in the vases ASAP and misted them all day, and they held up great.

I was shaking like a leaf walking down the aisle and trying to hold back tears. I did so good though! I didn't cry (and even then it was the smallest little bit) until our first kiss. During the ceremony, I could see the GM's and the last one had sweat literally dripping off his chin the whole entire time. I laughed a lot. I screwed up my vows and said "wait what" because I couldn't remember the second part of the line. Everyone laughed including me and I felt so much more relaxed after that. It was great haha.

We finished up pictures afterward then were introduced into the reception area. My sister's toast was amazing. She got so many compliments and made so many people cry, including me at the end. I also got choked up when I gave my little thank you speech, especially to our parents.

We survived the first dance! Everything went by super fast and it was here before we knew it. We goofed up at the beginning but no one could tell and it was perfect from then on. Everyone said they loved it.

Even though it was over 100 degrees, everyone danced all night, and it was so much fun. I remember being up on the patio and looking down into the tent while some song was playing. Everyone was dancing and singing and I just stood there and smiled watching them. Our guests complimented us on everything, especially the venue, all night long. It felt so awesome, I really think everyone felt taken care of and had a great time. Our venue really was unique and people were blown away, their words, not mine haha.

The staff at our venue is uh-maze-ing. Oh my god I didn't have to lift a finger or worry about anything. I can't even put into words how great they made me and our guests feel. They got compliments all night long. They guided us along all day and things went so smoothly because of them.

Hands down the very best part of my night was the very last dance. We danced to "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri (listen to it now if you don't know it haha) and Justin and I just turned in a circle holding each other tight the whole time. Our friends and family formed a circle around the dance floor, put their arms around each other, swayed and sang the song. This was the only time during the night where I just cried. I told Justin so many time during that dance that we have the best friends and family in the whole world. It was so incredible.

Then we changed and took a limo with the GM's and their dates to drop them all off at the casino nearby. Justin and I stayed at a castle in our hometown last night and he surprised me with a massage this morning. We went to my mom's today for an after party with family and the WP. We are both completely dead tired today but everything was so perfect. It went so fast and I can't believe it's over! I wouldn't change a thing. And the best part was that it started raining at 11:55 as we were in the limo, so it rained in our wedding day for luck and didn't ruin anything at all.

Seriously it was perfect! Can't wait to leave for HM on Saturday!
