Wedding Gown Perservation

I am debating on getting my wedding gown perserved. I saw some ones online that you mail your wedding gown and they perserve it and send it back. That makes me a little nervous. Does anyone have suggestions for either online places or local cleaners that do it?

Thanks!

dibsontop used one of those internet places, and she had nothing but great things to say about it.

And I believe Amerbutt used a local place.  I'll see if i can track them down for you to give you more info.
Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.

I used WedClean.  I thought they offered a great service.  They send you a kit with everything you need to send your dress to them.  You identify areas that have any stains or more than normal wear, or areas you're concerned with that require extra special handling.  You send it back to them, they clean and preserve it, and then send it back to you.  Mine came back pretty quickly (within 2 or 3 weeks of sending it off) but that can change depending on the time of year and how busy they are.  They did a great job and the price is reasonable.

I was a little concerned about mailing it off but everything is tracked and they send you emails of the status.  I also took pictures of the dress as well as any little stains so that I had proof of the condition of the dress, "just in case".  But in the end, I have absolutely no complaints.

    Hope that helps!

I used Country Bride and Gent in Bensalem.  I think it cost me about $210, but that was also a year ago.
