Makeup trial question

So im going to do a makeup trial before i book the makeup artist. I'm goign this sunday, do i tip her and if so how much ?

Do you have to pay for the trial? If so, I would do the normal 20%. I just had a free trial and tipped $10.

I was just wondering this same thing.  My hair/makeup trials each cost $75.  The hair person is coming to me, I'll be going to the makeup artists salon.  What do you think about tipping for these?

Do these people own the business or just work for someone else? If they own the business you can get away with not tipping but something is always appreciated. If the people work for someone else or a salon tip like you were going there for a normal appointment.

So does anyone have hair/ make-up recommendations on the main line; (local or Ardmore/ Wynnewood), or Mount Airy?  I'm having a hard time with this one and I'm cutting it close as my wedding is six weeks away!  Thanks!
