Any experiences with Ciao Bella Cakes or Ann's Cake Pan?

I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks! :-)

Re: Any experiences with Ciao Bella Cakes or Ann's Cake Pan?

  • Is your reception at Old York Road?? :)  Those are the two choices they offer, that is why I ask.

We tasted both their cakes and I really wanted to like Stephanie at Ciao Bella because of her style and personality but unfortunately Ann's Cake Pan was FAR superior in flavor and moisture.  I have been working with Ann's for awhile to get my cake finalized.  Lisa is super responsive and really makes it what you want.  We chose the Strawberry Lemonade Cake for our wedding and the Chocolate Chip for our reherseal dinner.

I am happy to share the sketch of my cake and pricing they gave me since we are going "out of the box".

  • I hired Ann's Cake Pan. I went for my tasting and it was amazing. I selected different flavors for each layer.
Lisa is great to work with. Emails back right away. Very Friendly. They are designing my cake just the way I want it.

  • We're using Ann's Cake Pan.  We had 3 to choose from with our wedding package for the Down Town Club.  Our reception coordinator endorsed her work for both design and taste over the other two options.  We're planning remotely so we may not even be able to do a tasting.  So these are helpful comments!
  • I recently attend a wedding and Ciao Bella provided the cake. I thought the cake was fair at best. It didn't really have much flavor and I only ate one bite and then made my way back to the dance floor leaving the rest untouched.
