Affordable Wedding Venue?

Does anyone have any recommendations for an affordable wedding venue that doesn't look tacky? We can only afford about $80 per person for 175 people. Suggestions? I don't have any specific needs, I just want a place that's pretty and has good food.

What area are you looking into? The Lazaretto ballroom (link below) is near the airport and they have reasonable prices that include mostly everything (apps, dinner, drink, cake) and the food is really really good. Because of their prices, they book fast though. I looked here but it was too big for us as we are having a smaller wedding.

We live in North East Philly if that helps any. we're willing to go a little outside he city (like Bensalem) if the place is nice though.

Are you interested in Horsham or Bensalem area? While we were looking at venues, we checked out Blair Mill Inn in Horsham (about $70 pp, all inclusive). Another decent priced venue was the Radisson Hotel on Rt 1 north, right outside Philly. They were around $65 (all inclusive) and the manager mentioned, they would give us 5% off the bill if we did a sunday reception. We didnt chose either venues in the end, since we found another one we liked a lot later on - but maybe it fits your budget.

did you look at LaLuna in bensalem? its beautiful and for a sat evening its about $70/pp

In Limerick there is a beautiful venue, where prices being at 71 pp.  Including tax & gratuity, premium open bar, linens, & cake.  It is BEAUTIFUL!  You can also hold your ceremony there if you wish.

Concordville Inn and Mendenhall Inn are both priced pretty reasonably

I'm looking for the same thing, lol!  I'm near Valley Forge and FI and his family are Bensalem, so I've been looking all, over.  Here's what I've found so far:

Ditto about Mendenhall and Concordville - love them.  Going to look at William Penn Inn in Ambler and the Blue Bell CC this weekend, but their packages are reasonable.  Celebrations in Bensalem is a little pricier, but I hear they'll negotiate.  I hear the Chateau in Philaldelphia is cheap and nice.  Westover CC and Center Square CC are a little farther out, but also have decent prices.  Um... I know I've looked at more in your price range, but I can't think of them right now.  Will post again when I do, lol.
