Hi all. My first time posting.  We have a lot of really good bakeries on the mainline, but what's the best tasting cake?  I'm in villanova area. I have been to weddings where the cake looks beautiful, but doesn't taste very good.  thanks!

We had a few choice at our venue, Merion Cricket Club and went with Dough Main.  Loved them!  Very easy to work with and it was a great cake.  

I have realized with wedding cake though that they are often left sitting out after cutting which is why they sometimes taste dry, even though they were not originally dry.

I've heard that Aux Petits Delices in Wayne is good but we're using Bredenbeck's in Chestnut Hill.

Brendenbecks is the best! I use them for everything. They are in Chestnut Hill, but they do deliveries. They were featured on one of those TLC great cake shows.

It's not on the main line, but we are going with Isgro's Bakery. It's an italian bakery in South Philadelphia. Amazing stuff!
