I got quotes in the range of $300 to almost a grand. I went with Bonnie MacDade, and she is charging $400.

I contacted Lorraine Rozanski (I got her info off of the Officiant listing for the Philly area) and she said $425. :)

I've gotten quotes for $425 and up...this is the next step in our planning...finding someone to perform the ceremony.  *fingers crossed*

  • wow. anything less than $400-$500. that's crazy expensive. i was thinking more in teh $200 range
  • Hi Everyone:

As an officiant myself, I can tell you that I spend, on average, 10 hours planning for and executing a wedding. If the distance is far -- I can spend much more time than that.

When you think from the perspective of how much time (and skill) the person is tapping to do what you are asking them to do, $200 would be ... well ... an unlivable salary. Let me put it that way.

    Cheers,
    joysa
