The Old Mill

Has anyone on this board had their wedding or been to a wedding at The Old Mill in Rose Valley, PA? Thoughts?

My cousins had their graduations parties there and it's really nice. They were both in June and there was a tent, that could be for your cocktail hour.  I have never been to a wedding there, but I could imagine it would be beautiful.

my cousin had her reception at the old mill.  it was really beautiful, the food was great, and they let her bring in her own flowers and decorations (i think) as long as they didn't nail anything to the walls...

They are seriously awesome and really let you have some creative freedom.  I can't wait!

That's wonderful! I did a lot of searching for venues and I never heard of this place until today. The pics are gorgeous and they are reasonably priced... you have a really good reason to be excited <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />

I had my wedding there on May 18th!  It is truly a unique and wonderful place.  I am so glad we picked it.  We did everything there.  Our ceremony was outside in the field area by the creek.  Cocktail hour was also outside in two places, the courtyard and under the tent, then reception in the ballroom.  They really encourage you to personalize your wedding so it's the perfect place if you are looking to go a little outside of the norm.  The outdoor locations are amazing for photos too!

We had our dinner family style which everyone loved because a.) it moved dinner along a little quicker than sitdown thus more time for dancing and b.) everyone got to try each entree (we had filet, pecan crusted chicken and shrimp scampi)  People raved about the food!  The staff was wonderful the whole day.  I must say it can be a little hard to get a hold of the coordinator so if a bride feels like she needs to be in contact often throughout the planning it may be stressful.  I really enjoyed working on things independently anyway so that wasn't an issue for me. Everything was perfect and exactly the way I wanted it on our wedding day!

i looked there a few weeks ago! its def. fairly priced compaired to the other places i have looked at.
its in our top 3 venues- the tyler aboretum, old mill, and abington art center.

ive seen a lot of pics of weddings there and they look amazing! also check out philly wedding magazine, they did a wedding article where the reception was at the old mill. looked great!

good luck! picking a pace seems to be harder than i thought.
