Wedding Day Timeline

I am trying to book makeup/hair this week and realized I have no idea how the flow of the wedding day should go. My ceremony starts at 6 and we are planning to do pictures beforehand. I have 6 girls plus me who need to get hair/makeup done. For any ladies with an evening wedding, how did you plan your day? How long did your hair, makeup, dressing, and pictures all take?

Are you getting your hair/make up done at a salon or at the venue?

this is how my day generall ywent:

10am- meet bridal party at salon to get hair done
12:00- left salon for venue
12:45ish- arrived at venue.  Get self checked in, settled.  My MUA was already there waiting for me.
1:00- I started to get my make up applied.
2:00- photographer arrives.
2:30-  I stepped into dress
3:00- 4:00 pictures
4:00- moved from hotel room to bridal suite at venue
4:50- lined up
5:00 ceremony

Thanks Amer! I'm getting hair/makeup done at the venue. We are still thinking about going somewhere else for pictures though.

We got our hair and makeup done at the venue.  I wanted everyone done by 3pm for the wedding at 4pm and I had myself and 5 bridesmaids.  The hair and makeup artist told us to start at 11am.

Figure out a time that everyone needs to be ready (check with your photographer about how much time they'll need before the wedding for pictures) and then ask your hair & makeup when they think they need to start.

We started the ceremony at 6, but I had less BMs than you do...

Morning -  get bfast, shower, etc
12-noon start hair/MU
4pm arrive at venue to get dressed and pics (girls 4pm, guys 5pm)
6pm ceremony
7pm cocktail hour and BP/family pics
8pm reception
