Anyone having/had their wedding at Crown Plaza (Southampton) or the Radisson (Trevose)?

No. I did look at the Radisson for my wedding though.. Have you looked at it yet??

I have an appt tomorrow actually.  I tried to search the internet, but haven't seen anything good/bad about them.

I looked at the Radisson too, during my research. It was definitely cheaper than many other venues, but didnt like it very much. It's in the back of the hotel, in a small room, and i thought the carpet looked old and used. So we didnt pick it. They offered free rooms for the bride and groom for the wedding night, the cocktail hour was supposed to take place in the lounge of the hotel, etc...

We are staying at the Raddison the night of our wedding! But not having the wedding there.

Never been to a wedding at either, but know of a lot of events that have been hosted at the Raddison. Retirement parties for doctors my FMIL works for, Christmas parties, etc. Went to a bridal showcase by The Pros held there too. The room was nice. Never been in the Crowne's banquet room.

The good thing about both though is that both hotels have a bar that stays open until 2 am. So if guests want the party to continue they can trickle into the bar. Crowne Plaza's bar is nice, very big, lots of tables and I think they serve food til midnight. My sister's after party was there after her wedding last April. Ours is being at Raddison, the bar area is a little more cozy, lined with book shelves, I think it's called the library bar or something? But it's still a nice size.

@Kfras, Where is your reception going to be? I looked into the Radisson as well for blocking rooms for my guest. My wedding will be at the Cescaphe Ballroom, but I wasnt sure how far distance wise the hotel would be from the venue.

Did they give you a discounted rate for blocking rooms?

Hi ladies, just wanted to update my post.  I have to agree with tdmaus after seeing the carpets and decor at the Radisson, I think it needs some updates.  The larger ballroom was nicer than the smaller ballroom.  There was actually trash in the 2nd room (food, balloons, candy wrappers).  I was kind of shocked they showed us the room in that condition...YIKES.
