Is anyone doing a grooms cake?  How exactly does it work?  When do you present it?

Im doing mine at the rehearsal dinner. We are having alot of desserts at the wedding so i didnt want one more thing there at the reception.

My FI isn't a sweets person so no, but I heard of someone who surprised her FI with a nacho cheese bar instead of a cake and that sounded pretty awesome!

I surprised DH with a grooms cake at the rehearsal dinner.  We have a ridiculous amount of desserts at the wedding too.
