A strange question probably, but do you have a phobia??

I do- I have a phobia of vomit. Seeing a person vomit, smelling it, and vomiting myself (thank god I can't hear!!!). It scares me to death, if I see a person vomiting, it will stay in my mind for weeks. If I get sick and vomit, it never goes away from my mind. I looked it up and it's called emetophobia. At least it's a fancy worded phobia!

wow!! that's crazy!!! well you're not crazy, but you know what I mean!! I have a hard time hearing people vomit...ugh that is the worst!

No, I don't have a phobia...well maybe for bees...there are HUGE bees here in FL!  My heart races everytime I see one!!  I'm afraid it's going to bite me and I'll die!  I'm not sure if I'm allergic to them or not.

Oh wow. Here's a trick - if you know you're gunna be dealing with vomit - put a little good smellin' lotion in very end of your nostril. :p That's what we do in nursing.

Believe it or not, I am DEATHLY afraid of butterflies. If one even comes near me, I start screaming. One time we were up at Lake Erie during the butterfly migration...oh my god..I wanted to die.

And they have a butterfly exhibit at the zoo - where they free-fly..I didn't know that's what it was...one landed on my shirt..I stood in the zoo and screamed until someone got it off me.

I would rather be covered in spiders than butterflies.

Nicole Kidman shares this phobia.

Wow, I've never heard of having a fear of vomiting, interesting! I am deathly afraid of spiders. Phobia for sure, they like paralize me. I know they are so much smaller than me but I am terrified of them.

Mine are mice,  I am scared to death of the little things, i would leave a building and not come back if I spot one running across the floor.  LOL

Oh I hate bees too, I remember one time in Michigan my friend and I saw the biggest bee EVER! It was like 4 inches long and an inch wide- and it kept following us! If we went into the house, it went away. If we're back outside, it came back to taunt us.

I am so scared of getting pregnant just because of the possible morning sickness I worry about going to work and needing to vomit and what if I'm teaching- I'm not going to vomit in front of my students!

Butterflies- that's not too weird, but that must be difficult. Do you see them all the time??

I remember reading about phobias and there was a weird one: fear of peanut butter being stuck on the roof of your mouth. Huh?

Oh I have a friend who is SOOO afraid of peanut butter- if you touch her with peanut butter, she'll scream and cry and run straight to the shower

Clowns! They are horrible!

My other fears don't go as far as phobias, but small spaces and spiders are definitely on that list.

On a side note, is anyone else afraid of the dark in an unknown place like hotel rooms? Or am I just weird?

I am not a huge fan of the dark period, but I don't think it gets worse if I'm in an unknown place. I'm actually still uncomfortable being in my mom's basement at night or without all the lights on. Her house is like 140 years old and the basement is made of sand and rocks. Pretty creepy down there!

I am also afraid of small spaces/not being able to move my body. Certain amusement park rides get me if I'm strapped in too tight.

You're just weird. Just kidding, I'm not usually afraid of the dark unless I start imaging things that could happen to me then I freak out!

I am petrified of childbirth.  Like legit fearful of it and i think about it all the time.

I also have a fear being around propane tanks.. I am always afraid they will explode.

ditto both clowns and snakes. When I was younger I stepped on one at camp and it bit me in the ankle. I had to go sit at the nurse and heard them talking about watching to see if I started foaming at the mouth.  TRAUMA! I was terrified from then on. Clowns and any sort of puppet are just creepy.

I am terrified of all insects. Except for small normal black ants and flies. FI is weirdly afraid of flies lol it's kinda funny. I don't know if it's strange but I think I have an abnormal fear of rape. I can't even handle the subject in movies and such.

The whole subject makes me more angry than scared though. Like hearing about it or watching it in a movie makes me so, so mad. Even if it's not real. I guess that's the feminist in me haha. I can't stand when people put it in movies. Put anything else OTHER than that in a movie, please!
