We are thinking we will "stop preventing" 1-2 years after the wedding...but not try super hard.....I think a lot of us will end up being fairly close to each other, pregnancy wise!! I know it takes at least a few months for the body to adjust after stopping hormonal BC (which I have been on for...OMG almost 10 years now. that's kind of disgusting and makes me feel old!).

Now I am nervous about my body freaking out when I take the hormones away from it. sigh. My body reacts really violently to changes/weird things (example: the first time I took codeine, I vomited for 7 hours straight) and one time, when I accidentally skipped two of my BC pills, I got so thrown out of whack that I then had my period for 10 days. 

Were any of you on hormonal BC pills for a long time, and then decided to quit??

my slowest time at work is between THanksgiving and new Years. it's like all the judges and attorneys around here just pick up and decide they aren't going to work until all the holidays are done.  I would either have my baby around Thanksgiving and have that whole period to recover, or have a summer baby....

speaking of questions like this, how many of you are going to continue to work after your babies?? does anyone have a plan yet?

Did you shower invites go out?  Apparently mine went out this week... someone has been purchasing big-ticket items and I'm really excited but I kind of wanted all of my little kitchen gadgets hahaha... I'm such a brat.

As much as I REALLLLLLLLY don't want to, I'm probably going to have to.  It's just too expensive to live in NJ.

I would LOVE to not have to go back to work. I'm really not a career focused woman. But FI is a teacher and until he makes his way into administration (his ultimate goal), I doubt we'd be able to get by on just his salary. I would love to be a makeup artist. That I could get into and might actually want to go back to work to!

Yup same here I am the bread winner right now.  FI is a special ed teacher.  And living in NJ is very expensive.  I also want our 2nd house to be a very nice house which will come with a bigger mortgage then what we have now.  So I am willing to work to have my dream house.

I would like to have a baby in late May early June.. FI will just be finishing up his busy time at work so he would be able to be at home with us for a while also.  Although my slow time is normally Novemberish but i really do not want a holiday baby.

I will sadly be going back to work.  Beings that I am the "bread winner" in our house.. Mamma's gotta keep bringing in that money!

I plan on taking a bit of time off to have babies, but eventually I will want to go back to work, at least part time. That's what fiance's mom did when she had kids and she's also an attorney. I loved having my mom home with me when I grew up and would love to do that for my kids, at least part time.

When fiance makes partner, we'll be in much better shape financially for me not to work. It's pretty guaranteed that he'll make partner at the law firm, or we wouldn't be considering Ohio as it's a massive pay cut for us to move there. If I work, which I will at least part time, it would help a lot, I'm sure. Especially with 2-3 kids

Oh and our caterer is doing cute little mini cheesesteaks in red and white checkered wrap holder things, served by butlers in tuxes. hahaha

I'd love to not have to work at least until they start school. I think. Maybe I'll feel differently once I'm actually there. I'm not really career focused either and well I'm hoping we'll be able to start our own businesses (maybe mine from home) and by that time we can call our own shots.

In a perfect world I would love an April baby FI is a teacher and I plan on staying home for 6 months so we could have off the whole summer together.

I HATE surprises! I specifically told my Moh that i didn't want a surprise. My. FMIL thinks im a horrible person not to have a surprise and she frowns upon me when i look at my registry, i feel like telling her listen lady i registered for these items i kniw what i am getting so stop bitching that i look at my own list!!!!

I probably won't go back to work for a while. My FI easily makes enough to support us if we move back to Denver, so we want to move before we have kids. 

But I think I've mentioned before that I hate what I do and I've been trying to break into photography for a while now. I got paid to shoot some senior pictures this past weekend and I'm getting paid to do a wedding in August so I hope my dream finally comes to fruition. I would continue to do that after having  kids.
