Hi, my name is Lauren. I'm newly engaged( 1/1/12 @ midnight!) and I'm just getting started. I'm looking for a ceremony/reception venue for 3/2013 in the Delaware County or Northern Delaware area. Approvimately 60-80 people.
I already have Photography and DJ services lined up but everything else is in the area. I'd love any suggestions!!!

I'm not sure where you live in proximity to Media but the Old Mill in Rose Valley was absolutely goregeous!  My sister got married there in Oct 2011 and it was stunning.  Food was great and the hall/ grounds was unreal.  I could go on and on..

I've been to a few weddings at the Old Mill, and it is gorgeous.  I'd also check out Normandy Farms, too.  That's a big hit on this board.

Overbrook Country Club is beautiful and the Radnor hotel is too.... There is so many to choose from!!!!

I didn't see that you said Northern Delaware!  I'm actually a DE bride.  I my venue.  I had my reception at the Clarion Belle Hotel in New Castle DE.  It's about 15 or so minutes from Wilmington.  www.clarionbelle.com

I also checked out Waterfall Conference Center in Claymont, the different CC in the area (unimpressed, TBH.  Overpriced and a bit snobby.  That was my experience).  The only golf course I liked was Ed Oliver Golf Course (FKA Porky Oliver's.. it's much nicer now).  They had pretty reasonably priced packages. 

There are also some really nice DE State Park venues, but you need to have them catered.  Blue Ballroom & Rockwood Mansion are both very nice.

Just printed all the information for all of those locations. So far I have a tour/consult set up with Kings Mill in Aston and Ballrooms at Boothwyn in Boothwyn.
