Re: 5/29 Accountability (5 weeks until July!)

  • I ate like a fat kid over the weekend....we kept barbecuing and going for ice cream and eating and eating and eating!! we had a blast and I guess you are allowed to be kind of "bad" when you are on vacation....

My plan for the week is hot yoga + green juice + light weight lifting + drinking lots of water + veggies to get me back on track.  It's REALLY crunch time now!!!
  • I pigged out over the weekend myself....back to zumba and bootcamp this week and eating veggies and low fat meals! Can't believe there is only 5 weeks left till July!!

  • One of my BMs had lapband surgery about a year ago so she now eats like a bird (and has lost about 85 lbs, too).  It really helped me with not overeating this entire weekend because I spend the majority of my time with her down the Jersey shore!  I was also one of the only ones in the group who didn't drink my face off the whole weekend... just wasn't feeling it, I guess.  We spent most of our time at the beach and pool, relaxing in the sun, but we had to walk EVERYWHERE so I got tons of walking in.

I have tons of workouts planned for this week.  My next dress fitting is next Monday and I'm absolutely dreading it. :(

  • I'm back on track with pushups and aerobic routines now, and feeling pretty good over all. I just wish I could find time for yoga, b/c that really is my favorite form of excercise. FI and I are going to try to do a class tomorrow night after work - I hope we can squeeze it in!

Eating has not gone as well. We have had a lot of training at work over the past few days, and they always provide a lot of junk food at those, so it's so hard to resist. I don't buy junk food for myself, but if someone gives it to me for free, I almost always take it.

  • I, too, killed it over the weekend lol I went to visit my sister in NH and we went out to a Pub one night (didn't drink, just ate terribly lol) and for Mexican another night. It was WORTH IT though!!

So I started using caloriecount.about.com. A girl from work told me about it and apparently my sister joined it back in 2009. She lost 30 lbs with it! Gained it back the past year though, but she's back on board. I started using it about a week ago and have already lost about 4-5 lbs!! I track every.single.thing I eat which helps me to turn down temptations, or at least limit the amount I eat (except when I go out to dinner....but then it makes me see what I did and motivates me to work out!) If anyone joins/belongs and wants another supporter, I will add you! Publishing my daily report helps with accountability.

My sister and I ran around her neighborhood every day this weekend...and went about 7 miles between the three days! I'm pretty proud of that...and we managed not to get eaten by any bears lol (There have been some bears spotted in the area, so it was a concern!)

The rest of the week I plan to run whenever possible. Unfortunately, I came home from work sick today, feeling like I was gonna throw up, so I doubt I will be doing it this evening. I'm feeling better, but it still hurts, just not so nauseous anymore.

I have such a hard time keeping myself on track. I work at an office that has delicious food brought to the kitchen almost every single day. Donuts, bagels, breakfast burritos, barbecue, gourmet brownies and cookies... it's dangerous! I have 28 days until my 1st dress fitting. I would like to be several pounds lighter by then! So I came up with a way to stay accountable every day.

I had a bunch of money I have been saving (from birthday money, christmas money, etc.) for new clothes for the honeymoon after I reach my goal weight. But I told myself I can't have any of it unless I earn it. Every day I eat healthy for the entire day, I get $15. If I slip up, I have to give BACK $15. If I work out that day, I get an extra $10. If I don't happen to work out, it's alright I just don't take or give back any money.

Whatever I have left at the end of it all is what I get to spend on myself for new clothes! (any money I don't get will just go to bills and such)
