Time Off Before The Wedding? Poll!

I'm just curious who is taking work off prior to the wedding and what do you plan to use that time for? I am taking 2 days off. I know Friday I will be at my venue setting everything up, but I am not sure for Thursday, I think it will be a million little things that come up.

I work for the local school system, so I will be off starting June 12th before our July 14th wedding. That was a huge reason for planning a summer wedding. It allows us to wait a week before leaving on our honeymoon, take a 12 day trip, and still get back a week before I'm due back at work. Kinda makes up for the crappy pay

I'm taking tuesfri off. My FI's immediate family from Denver is getting in on Tuesday and we want to spend time with them/get ready for the wedding. if they weren't coming in so early I might have taken less time off. But probably still wedfri. So I'll be off from tues jul 17thurs aug 2nd including the HM. We both have awesome vacation time though.

Almost the same for me!  I arrive in NY on June 11th and will be "working" on wedding stuff till July 13th.  I think my big jobs are wrapping favors and making the  envelope box.

FI & I are leaving FL 3 days before the wedding, but I'm working a half a day then we're driving up!

I voted for 2 day but really I am only taking 1.5 days.  My wedding is on a friday so I took a half day wednesday and full day thursday.

I'm just taking the Friday before the wedding off and then a week and half after the wedding for our honeymoon! I don't know how people take any more time than that off!

I'm going balls to the walls with this and hoping I don't get fired.

I originally was going to take off Weds-Friday, but I just found out (today!) that our Attorney Summer Outing is on that Tuesday, so I would be out of the office that day/night anyway. So, it doesn't make much sense to come in on Monday, be off Tuesday, then take off Weds-Fri, so I'm just taking the whole week and going home to Philly to do last minute stuff that whole week. Fiance's family isn't coming in until Friday.

Then we're away for 2 weeks for the honeymoon. So I'm gone from July 7th until July 30th.
SO EXCITED.

My family might be coming in on a Tuesday or Wednesday. I might just go ahead and take the whole week off hahaha

I am taking 2 days off but my wedding is on a Sunday so I will have Saturday to do things too.

Im a stay at home mom but FI works. We are having him take the week of off. We have family and friends coming from out of state and city to stay with us that week. Also to help get whatever else we need to do done!

Well I work at a school so I'll get the summer off. FI is going to take 1/2 day off on Wednesday and then be there for the rehearsal on Thursday. Wedding is on Saturay/

Well my work is shut down the week of the 4th, so I am working Mon-Tues/Wed the week of the wedding (the week after our shutdown) depending on how busy we are.  Then I have 2 weeks off for the honeymoon.  The only way I can do it is because my boss is wicked flexible, FI is probably taking Thurs-Fri off and then the next two weeks.

Since I started a new job in January, I don't get to take as much time as planned.  I have to work Thursday, off Fri, wed Sat, hope on a cruise ship Monday!

Here's hoping I can get all my ish together in one day!

I'm another teacher! My summer starts June 22nd! Plus my mom and local BM are teachers too, and my sister will be home from college. So we'll go a little wedding crazy during that week. FI will probably only take a day or two off though. He doesn't get a lot of time off plus he doesn't want to be around while I'm so crazy lol.

I am taking the 2 weeks before our wedding off of work.  I mainly work from home but I said that I cant have any deadlines that 2 weeks before the wedding and I am not teaching any classes in July or taking any doula clients so I can just focus on last minute wedding stuff and hopefully not be super stressed.  Events are really stressful for me and this will be the biggest personal event I have ever planned so I am trying to keep myself as stress free as possible and not having to worry about work deadlines will help!  My kids birthday parties stress me out so the wedding will be much worse I am sure ;(  I may need to schedule a couple massages during that 2 weeks!

I'm taking the whole week off...only because I have to travel from Mass to Indiana, and I did not feel like cutting it close! Since the last time I will be back there is the second week of June, I wanted to make sure I had plenty of time to tie up loose ends.

I'm flying in on the 7th (wedding is the 14th) and we are doing my bachelorette party that night. FI will drive out on Wednesday (I think that's his plan). He works the 7th (I was scheduled to but my co-workers jumped on it since Saturday=OT lol), but we both took the whole week after off, too, for our mini honeymoon in Indiana, and to drive back.

Our second reception is August 19th in Mass...I'm really hoping I don't regret not taking time off lol

I am giving myself two weeks off. I am quitting my job to move to live in FI's city (we had to do long distance this year because of great career opportunities), so I gave my notice of my last day to be July 14th. That way I have time to do any last minute wedding stuff and also start packing my life up to move! Then we go on a one week honeymoon, fly back to my town, load up my stuff, and drive up to FI's city. 

I haven't started applying for jobs yet so when I have to go back to work depends on that

My work is SUPER flexible - I could work from home or from a Starbucks every day (that I didn't have to be in court or go to deps or anything) if I felt like it, so I might just " work from home" the whole week before the wedding as I want to/am able to. I haven't totally decided yet. I have the best boss in the world so I can be really flexible. 

As of now, I am planning to take Thurs-Friday off before our Saturday wedding. This should give me plenty of time to finish stuff up.  But I can work as little or as much as I want the rest of the week so it shouldn't be a big deal.

I voted 3 days but with a few caveats. First, the week prior includes the 4th of July, so holiday there. Second, the 4th is our anniversary so we want to do something special and low key a few days before the wedding. Third, u don't have a job yet, so I have off from grad school graduation in May until infinity until I find a job.

The week before is the 4th so I'm taking the whole week off. Not sure what my FI is doing yet though.

I'm getting married on a Saturday so I will be taking Wed - Fri off..and then 2 weeks after for the honeymoon. I don't think I will have much to do those three days except get a mani/pedi and relax, but we have a lot of out of town guests that will be arriving on Thursday so I'll probably just visit with them.

I took the whole week off before then I have off 2 weeks after.  But I am thinking of coming into work now mon, tuesday the week of then taking wed-fri of the wedding week off just to give me 2 more days to use during the fall.  I also took the entire week of christmas off this year

So as of right now if I don't change anything I am off from July 16- August 6th will be my first day back at work.  We leave for our HM the monday after the wedding then come back 1 1/2 weeks later on a Wed night so I took that thurs, friday off too.

I'm a teacher too, so I'm off June 22nd. I usually work part-time during the summers and may still do that this year, but it's just swimming lessons/tutoring so nothing too stressful. FI is taking the 2 days before and hopefully 2 weeks after.  We don't leave for the honeymoon until the Wednesday night after the Saturday wedding so he might go in M,T and/or W to save vacation days for later in the year.

we're getting married on a Tuesday (::gasp::). Our rehearsal dinner is on the Thursday before AND i don't work on Wednesdays. BOOM. 5 days off before the wedding. I'll still probably be running around like a crazy, but i'm hoping to get a chance to relax and take it all in before the big day.
