save the date address etiquette

I am getting m addresses and labels together to mail my save the dates.  I am inviting pretty much everyone to the wedding with a date so on the actualy invitations I will address it to the specific person and guest, but do I do the same for save the dates?  Or do I just send it to the person I am inviting?  If that makes sense

    I just had that same question, I'm in the middle of addressing my save the dates too.
    I just addressed mine as 'John Doe' or "Mr. & Mrs. John Doe". I'm waiting to make the invitation more specific.

    Save the "and guest" for the formal invitations and just address the STD to the person you're inviting.  By the time you send the invitations, you may change your mind about including guests, or their relationship status might change.  Send the STD only to those you are 100% sure will be invited when the time comes for the formal invites.
