Proximity of Ceremony Site and Reception

As a guest do you think it would be really inconvenient to go to a ceremony in Center City and a reception in Chestnut Hill?My FI said he doesn't think it's inconvenient and he would gladly do the traveling for a close friend or family member if he was a guest, but I'm just scared that many guests will only show up to the reception and skip the ceremony (because the two locations aren't like right around the corner from one another). Please help! What do you think?

I think it's fine. My church and my reception are 20-ish miles apart, so somewhere around 30 min apart (depending on traffic). I am providing bus transportation so people BETTER make it to both! I will be pissed!

I think the general rule of thumb is that anything over 30 minutes is considered "inconvenient".

Our recpetion is abotu 30 mins south from philly in delaware county

We had our ceremony in Wilmington DE, and the reception was in New Castle, DE.  About a 20 minute drive.

I googled point A to point B and it was approx 11 miles and approx 23 minutes. What a relief! Thanks Again Ladies! We REALLY like the place in Center City!!

Will there be a gap as well?  

I went to a wedding in Mt. Airy and reception at the Constitution Center, I think many more people came to the reception than were at the church.  This is pretty much the opposite journey of your wedding.

Nope! It's across the city, but not really a far trip at all! I think it will work out.
