Northampton Valley Country Club

I'm so close to booking, but just wanted to know any of your experiences there. Have you attended a wedding? Did they host your wedding? I've been reading reviews and watching wedding videos for a week and I think it's BEAUTIFUL. But I'm unable to visit in person at the moment, so I'm scared to book without that done.

Share ladies! Are there any reason why you would or would not recommend?!

Thanks!!!

My SIL got married there in 2009, and it was very pretty there. They were able to get pics on the golf course that turned out great. The food and service were great as well.

I looked at them about a year ago, and I remember they were one of my top choices. The place is beautiful and the people were very nice and helpful. I would definitely suggest checking them out.

I've been to a wedding there.. It was very nice.  Also - they use my favorite cheap champagne for their toasts - Verdi, mmmmmmm!

So glad I ran across this post- we'relooking into this venue as well...what are the general thoughts on the Northampton room? They say it holds up to 170...is that with room to walk around without feeling cramped? Is the dance floor adequate for that amount of people?

Oh really! That's so cool. I'm out of state, so I can't visit at the moment. I have a small party (~80-90), so I've been given the Northampton Room.

I love natural light so much. It's such a dealbreaker for me. Thanks for the comment!

I don't know yet because I haven't visited, but I hope someone can answer because I am curious, too!

What other venues are you considering?

the dance floor is big... i think the website says 800 sq feet for the northampton room and  950 for the bigger room. i dont know how the room is with that many people they say 180 for that room but i feel like it might be cramped... we are having 140... check it out though, im not the expert on how many people would fit! it is an absolutly beautiful room! the high windows look right out on to the golf course!

I got married here, and loved every minute of it from start to finish!

The week before my wedding they finished a ton of renovations, and the bathrooms are beautiful, as are both rooms. We went with the Crystal Ballroom because I liked that there was a separate room for the cocktail hour, the Northampton room had the cocktail hour/bar in the same room, but not a deal breaker for sure.

The one thing I hated about the place was the chairs, so I rented chairs from them and they gave me a really good price.

I got married during a blizzard of 2 feet of snow, and all the staff made it there, made it very safe for all my guests, and the room was just beautiful!

They were so accomodating to everything I wanted. I upgraded centerpieces, they let me change out "comparable" beers for the one's they were originally going to serve, they don't offer champagne other then the toast, but said they would get it for me at no additional cost, and changed out the kind of champagne because I didn't like the kind they had. They have a coffee station you can add, and I wanted a hot cocoa station, and they got all the ingredients and set it all up along with the coffee station at no additional charge as well.

I worked with Kristen, and she was so helpful through out the whole thing. They let me change out the color of linens, and the food was delicious. We had the stations menu because I liked the idea of it a lot more, and they were great about letting me chose certain things to eat. The dessert table that comes with the stations menu was to die for, it was huge and amazing. All the food was really good, and we were really REALLY pleased.

If you have any other questions, feel free to e mail or PM me, as this place was my favorite part about my whole wedding. Jaclyn_0015@hotmail.com.

Also, the outside area's are really beautiful for pictures, and there are separate entrances for each ballroom, which I really liked a lot, as well as separate bathrooms which were huge for me.

ButtonsPepper- i think they have replaced the chairs now the ones they use w/o charging you are gold w/ white seats. they said they talked the owner into buying them so you didnt have to rent them anymore!

Patty - then you are in LUCK!!! I got chivalri chairs, so I don't think they are those, but the one's they have sound MUCH better then the rose/pink pieces of crap they had when I got married there. I was telling Kristen when booking the only thing I hated about the place was the chairs haha, so I'm glad they stepped it up!!!

I am getting married there next month and so far I love it. Brigid and Kristen have been great to work with. We are getting married in the Northampton room. I think that it fits up to 170 but they said the ideal number is 150. I have heard nothing but great things- I hope this helps! Good luck :)
