NWR: Where are you taking your mom for mother's day?

Need some suggestion for mother's day dinner... not too pricey, if possible ... since my Fi and I always have to pay for the whole family (8 total), when we go out for dinner as a family... open for any suggestion in the city or northeast. Thanks ladies!

  • There is 8 of us and we are doing Brunch at Generations in Media. They have an awesome buffet.

  • We don't normally go out because my mom hates crowds, heh. This year is tough because my brother's GF graduates from college that morning (seriously, who schedules a graduation for 9:00am on Mother's Day?), so we may end up going out after all and doing a dual celebration of sorts.

  • My mom doesn't celebrate holidays (religious reasons) BUT if she did lol I would take her to Relish or Manayunk Brewery because she likes variety and they both have REALLY good Sunday Brunch Buffets

I meant to ask you how you liked Relish the other day?

  • We are having dinner catered at my house this year. I usually do all of the dinners for all of the holidays, but I guess my family figured I needed a day off too. When we do go out on Mother's Day we usually go to Maggianos and do the family style.

I would suggest going somewhere that takes reservations. I worked at a restaurant in the NE that didn't, and we would have about a 2 1/2 hour wait on Mother's Day. My mom isn't a fan of crowds either, well she isn't a fan of waiting for her food lol, so I'll probably offer to make dinner or order in.

  • We're  taking my mom out for high tea at Sheaer Elegance which is a Victorian Mansion in Limerick.  They're going to have a woman dressed up in Victorian clothing talking about tea and Victorian things.  Something different to do.

We do brunch at the Bensalem Country Club every year, their website says the price is 25.95. It's delicious, my FI loves going. But you have to make a reservation. Georgine's (in Bristol) also does a brunch, the price is $22.99 per adult and you can view the menu on their website I believe.
