Quality, Affordable Seamstress in Chester/Delaware County Area?

Hello,

I bought my wedding gown at a boutique that does not offer alterations, but recommends a seamstress to go to. I tried to research her online and found nothing but one glowing review and one awful review. Chances are the woman will do a great job, but I recently decided I might want more than just simple alterations (thinking of adding a corset back if possible).
Does anyone know of an experienced seamstress in Delaware or Chester County who also has reasonable pricing? Wedding is not until November 12, but I want to start the process early in case the extra alterations take more time.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Nilah is highly recommended here. I will be using her. I think though when I called they are booked for fall weddings. But you could certainly call & double check!

I used Nilah and loved her!  I can't say enough good things about her.  She remade my bodice and made my sample dress my own.

    I would call her now.

I was leaning towards Nilah, but have heard mixed reviews, and if she's already booked for fall weddings, I'm out of luck anyway.
    Thanks for the suggestions!!

Excellent news--I read another terrible review about the recommended seamstress from my bridal shop, so I called Nilah right away and was able to get an appointment...so relieved!
From reviews I've read, her prices are "very reasonable". @NCV, did you find the prices reasonable? It seems like you had more than the standard alterations done, but I was just curious. My cap for alterations is $650, so I'm HOPING I'll be able to get the things I want done for around that price. I might not be able to add a corset due to the bead structure of my dress, but that's the thing I'm most worried about costing a lot of money.

Thanks again for your suggestions. One less stress!

NCV is a bad person to ask about reasonable prices regarding Nilah... lol.  Nilah basically took one dress (her mother's) and made a totally different one for NCV.  And did a fan-freaking-tastic job, might I add.

The price really depends on what you need done to the dress, and how detailed it is.  My dress was easy to alter because it just needed to be taken in along the bust line and hemmed.  And my dress didn't have any detailing along the edge, so the hem could be done as normal.  It's when you have to start taking the dress apart to put it back together that things can get pricey.
