So earlier today I wrote that FI found a house we love on friday, and we were going to see it again this week and make an offer on friday. Well, today, when setting a visit time, we learned an offer had been made already.
We decided to submit an offer as well. We are offering close to asking price (w/i $6000) and hoping that the other folks offered considerably less, or at least that the homeowners counteroffered. We also will let the family who currently lives stay 10 days after close, so we hope thats a bonus. We will hear back by tomorrow at 5:00 pm.
I'd love some knottie vibes/thoughts/prayers!!!
ETA: We did not get the house. The sellers got the other offer to quit bargaining and agree to the terms because of our offer. So a part of me hopes it falls apart in closing; but it also may mean something else out there is better for us. Thanks for the encouragement!
