Winter Wedding Venue Help!!!!

My FI and I have been flip flopping for a couple of years now on when we want to get married first we thought of having one in the fall then another idea was doing a destination wedding but we finally came down to having a winter wedding! Your probably thinking years yes years we have been together for almost 9yrs now! I would love to have a venue that has a warm and cozy feeling one key has to be fireplaces because we are going to have a little s'more and hot chocolate bar! I was thinking a refurbished barn or a lodge or something that fits those descriptions. We are planning on getting married in January (and hopefully there will be snow) so even towards the mountains example the poconos travel time i would say 2-3hr max. Any help would be great, thanks ladies!

  • DuPortail House in Chesterbrook is just where you should go they are great, easy place. Its like an old house. Rooms for the brides are like your bedroom except more elegant. Also, book Delaware Valley DJs for your music they were great for my music. Good luck!

  • Have you looked at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown? It has this balcony that I fell in love with and the brick looks so beautiful set against the snow. It has several fireplaces and a firepit for s'mores.
I tried to upload a photo but it didn't work. But I found it on partyspace.com looking for my own wedding venue this Fall. Here's the link.

  • I was at a wedding at Manor House at Commonwealth Golf Course in the summer.  I don't know if they use their fireplaces in the winter or not but there were 3 or 4 of them.  And the ballroom has lots of windows so it would be beautiful in the snow.  It's in Horsham and miight be worth looking at.  My wedding is at Columbia Station which is beautiful but the people that own it just refurbished the Barn at Birchwood in Collegeville which is something you mentioned.  I don't know if it has fireplaces but the pictures on the website are beautiful.
