Helpful hint for anyone steaming their dress

I plan on steaming my dress the day of the wedding to get any wrinkles out.  I asked the seamstress at DB if there would be any problems in doing this and she said that you should put a wash cloth between the steamer and the dress in case any water spits out.  That way it'll soak into the wash cloth and not your dress.

So you are steaming your dress yourself?  The thought of me doing this, scares me!  Haha!

Thanks!!!!! I planned on having DB steam in after alterations then do any touch ups on the day of. Still a little nervous but the wash cloth will be a saver.

Chrissie - DB steamed mine after my final fitting but I bought a small portable steamer and will do any touchups the day of just like Krhoy.

I just talked to my alterations lady on Friday.  She recommended a white men's handkerchief or cheesecloth rather than a washcloth.
