Flip Flops

Ok so I know this is a common thing, but I was wondering of any of you loverly ladies were thinking of doing anything with flip flops as a favor or just an add on for your ceremony site aka the beach.  Does anyone have any inside knowledge of when Old Navy is going to $1 their flip flops at the end of the season?  I have been stalking the big store near me and I am beinging to scare the sales ladies.  Any other sellers?  And if you are doing this, what are you doing about the different sizes?

I'm thinking about the same thing!  I was in there about a month ago and they had most on sale for $1, but I didn't act quick enough.  I wanted to do this for that at-home reception since I think more people are likely to wear heals.

For sizes, I was going to just get sizes 6-9 or 10, and maybe ask around to see waht seems to be most common and most of them in that size.  I've seen them at a few weddings and there always seems to be left overs, so I'm not going to go over board.

    Hey Ladies,
I checked on this last year to be sure- Old Navy does the flip-flop clearance at the beginning of October. You can't always ensure you'll get all the sizes but they had a good selection still when I checked last year. Hope that helps!

PS- Cool idea I'm going to steal is putting a dry/clean paintbrush with wide bristles out by the entrance to  your house/reception area so people can use it to brush the sand off their feet.

I thought about doing this but decided against it b/c we figure most of our guests will be barefoot or have beach shoes of their own.  I know they had a big sale back in May I believe, but not sure about the end of season sale though.

I had to make a split second decision on wedding colors, because I went in last fall and they had green ones for $0.47! I got around 30 then.  We ended up with around 70 total and are expecting 125 guests.  Hopefully some of our frends will take the leftovers at the end of the night.

I'm doing this as well.  My mom actually found a TON at the Family Dollar for...obviously $1 each, but also Michael's (arts and crafts) just marked their flip flops down from $1 to $.60 for the solid color ones and $.80 for the ones with designs.  The flip flops from Michael's seem to come in only women's sizes.  I'm not buying flip flops in my wedding colors, I'm just getting all different colors to add some FUN.  I basically tried to guess at how many of each size I would need and then added a couple extra.  I definitely think I'll have some leftover though.

We did this and I was surprised how many people took them.  We were at the beach so I thought a lot of people would have them.  But a lot of people were dressed up and loved switching out of their shoes.  We started out with 20 pairs (some S, mostly M and some L; 2 XL for men and 1 XS for kids).  We had 30-35 guests and 4 pairs left.  I bought them all for a dollar at Dollar Stores, Hobby Lobby, etc.  Wherever they were on sale.  This is a good time of year to buy them.
