Hey everyone! Well, I'm here to meet with vendors.

I met with a few today two cakes and one catering.
First: Great Cakes: Marsha was great. Her cakes, not so much. We tried the Key Lime Bliss, Chocolate with Ganache filling, and the vanilla almond raspberry. I know others had said they were great cakes (haha) but for me, they were sickeningly sweet. I actually felt sick as we left.
Argyles: We did the cake and the catering food. The cake was effing amazing. Not too sweet and it was so moist. We loved it. We are going with three flavors: some sort of vanilla raspberry chambord flavor, a chocolate kahlua concoction, and their key lime. Sorry that I don't remember the specific flavor names. They also made us fajitas (as I want a fajita bar) and shrimp and grits (for rehearsal dinner). We loved the shrimp and grits. Perfect combination of cheesy, buttery goodness with a slight kick to it. The fajitas were good but too much lime flavor for me. I bet Debra would fix that if I asked her to though.
Meeting with Ortega'z tomorrow. A little piece of info I found out for Budleigh brides, if you go with Ortega'z, they are right behind the Budleigh. If they forget something, its right there to fix it. Also, they don't charge for plates, napkins, or silverware for weddings at the Budleigh.

I think this might be a home run for us. We will try the food tomorrow. Susan was great on the phone and she told us to come hungry so I think she is truly planning to feed us, rather than just a taste here and there. I'll post more tomorrow!
