Photo displays

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to ask around about photo displays. Is anyone planning to display pictures of you and fiance? I would love to hear some creative ideas of doing this. I would like to display pics of my partner and I throughout our relationship. We also plan to display a picture of each of our parents wedding pictures in frames. Any creative ideas are appreciated. I seem to have a creative block since I logged on today and saw 60 days till our wedding! Gulp.

Are you having table assignments?  My BFF had a picture of them from each of the places that they've traveled and named the table by the location.  Some people were at the Vegas table, others at our hometown Cleveland, others at the beach, and Italy.  It was so cute.

I've seen a slideshow done, if that might be an option at your venue?  I like bug's friend's idea though!

At a friend's engagement party, they wanted lots of pics too, so we covered the food table with glass and just "bordered" the table  (under the glass) with a bunch of pictures and confetti/etc to add some decoration, and give something to look at while getting food.  Do you have a dessert table or something you could do this with?  Also, a lot of the websites that print the photos; I think Walgreens is what I used, does an automatic collage in different sizes: 8x11 or larger, which we did and framed a few of around the room.

I love to scrap book (huge nerd i know!) and I started making one for my fiance and I about two years after we started dating. Ive kept it simple, 2 pages for every major event or vacation. It had become 2 books now and will probably be three by the wedding I plan setting them up somewhere in the house during the reception (like maybe on the way to the bathroom) so people can stop and check it out. Alot of the people who are coming to the wedding are in the book at least once so I think it will be nice for them to see how they have been a part of our relationship all along.

We are!! I collected pictures of my FI and me. One for each year of age (ie: 1 pic of each of us at age 1, 2...so on) I'm going to hang them on a rope using clothespins in our cocktail lounge area.

We were originally going to do a digital slideshow but there was alot of drama involved with getting a monitor to display it on, etc.

Sarah - I love that idea!!! How cute!!!
Our reception is at Budleigh and there is a mantel there that we are going to make the "family & friends" mantel (like how at home lots of ppl have pics all over their mantels). One side will be pics of FI and his family & friends, the other side will be pics of my fam & friends. I'm going to try to find just simple gold or brown frames to put them in. Oh and I also found a wooden candleholder (at OBX) that has Family written on it in script with 3 candles on top. It was perfect for the mantel!

I'm in the process of making a digital slideshow!!!! First, pics of me growing up, then FI's pics and then our pics together :)
Reception is at our event home and it has a projector and screen, so it works out really well!!!!
