Venue Help!

I have been reading this board for a while now and I'm sorry for repeating this question but I wasn't sure if there was any new information out there.  I am in the very beginning planning stages and am planning for a beach ceremony with a small reception of no more than 50 guests. My original time frame is April or May of 2011 but I am flexible.  This will be my 2nd wedding so I am working on a tight budget of no more than $5,000.  I already have a photographer, and plan on making my own decorations/flowers.  I think I saw someone mention Cotton BBQ (name?) and recommneded their catering, I want the wedding to be very relaxed and just a fun party with close friends and family.  I am mostly interested in reception venues or venues that could accomodate both a beach ceremony and a reception for the best price.  I would also love to rent the house for the week if possible, with the possiblilty of other family members/friends staying there as well but I know that $5,000 may not do it.  Sorry this is so long, but any help you ladies have I would greatly appreciate it!

Also, I live in NC and if any of you have had a wedding on another NC beach besides the OBX and would recommend it I would love to hear about that too. Thanks!

I was in your same shoes! I booked our wedding with beach ball events! they do EVERYTHING for you or you can hire them for only specific aspects of your wedding as well. They will do as much or as little as you want. I too am doing my own flowers so that cost is deducted from the package pricing.
I'm having my reception at Adrianna's on the waterfront and it was actually just voted OBX wedding assoc.  #1 wedding venue for 2012!
The BBQ place is called High Cotton BBQ and we are using them as well for our rehearsal dinner! (we tasted a lot and they are the best by far!!!
We actually just got home today from our "wedding weekend" where we go and meet all their vendors and pick out all our things make all our decisions and we also did a lot of researching for guest hotels and bbq food ect for the wedding! I'd love to share what i know or answer any questions if you need help.

I don't check this very regularly so if you want to message me i'll get back to you much more quickly!

Can you share where you got this information from?  Just curious who else made the list for #1's for the obxwa :)

@ OBX2011 :  go to this link and if you scroll down a few posts it has the 2012 dream wedding vendors. http://www.facebook.com/OBXWA

I saw the info on beach ball events facebook posts, but they also mentioned it several times while we were there this weekend.

    Thanks!

I saw that Adrianna's was chosen as the location for next year's Dream Wedding venue but I couldn't find where they or anyone else was ranked #1 by the obxwa.
