Which of these 2 houses??

We rented an 8 bedroom oceanfront house for our bridal party and my mom is booking the reception house, we narrowed it down to two and need to decide which.  We will have about 50 guests, plus or minus about 10.  You know how that goes.  Catered in buffet style, DJ. We want to do the seaside ceremony and beach house reception.  If we got house #2, we could do the ceremony at our house which was ocean front and the reception at my moms still. House 2 we could do both there. Here are some photos of the idea we are going for:

Re: Which of these 2 houses??

  • Cute pictures, interesting that they used the car port areas to have their reception. I would do house 2 so that way everything happens all in the same spot, less likely for people to get lost. I've been active on this board for about 2 years now, and I haven't seen any Emerald brides post here, aside from the one with photographer questions, so I would post on the NC board as well. OBX is pretty far away from Emerald Isle for most of us to be of a specific help.

  • Tough call!  I like the outside layout and the more modern interior decor of "Refuge" better, but it's very pink inside.  Is there a chance that the wedding will be inside (due to weather)?  If pink is one of your colors then it shouldn't be a problem... both are great though!

  • Thank you :-)  Still havent made an official call should be this week!!! Appreciate the feedback - and actually blues and teals with white are our colors haha
  • That is a tough choice!  The only thing that sways me is house #2 b/c you can have everything all in one place.  I also like the big grassy area of house #2 :)
