We're thinking about a road trip for our honeymoon...maybe ending up in Outer Banks for a few nights. We're getting married in Maine on a Saturday and figured we'd head out the next morning. We're looking for advise, suggestions, etc on where to say in the area. We're not all to fancy...no honeymoon suite needed or a "resort-y" type place...just a clean, comfortable hotel/motel/cottage ideally on the water, but that's not a must have. We're also paying for the wedding ourselves, so price is a concern too.
