Advice Needed

Hey Ladies (and Gentlemen),

I haven't posted here in a while but my brother is getting married in 2 months in Emerald Isle.  I realize that it's different area but I need to come up with some ideas as to what to do for the rehearsal dinner.  I called a BBQ restaurant and got prices but his fiance' decided to call the next day and book it for the reception instead without asking my mom if it was ok.  Now I need to help my mom come with something different.  She's on a limited budget so my husband and I will be helping her out.  Any ideas that we could do for the rehearsal dinner without having to cook anything?  Obviously, BBQ is out of the question.  TIA
Anniversary

Re: Advice Needed

  • Have you looked into Coastal Provisions catering? They are reasonably priced for their family style catering....
  • A crab boil? Not sure of the cost but it would be different then the wedding food.

I second this :)  A low country boil would be great and can easily be catered!

Coastal Provisions did my catering and they were absolutely fabulous, but I am not sure if they travel all the way to Emerald Isle.  If they do, I imagine it would be pretty pricey given the distance and all.  See if the bbq restaurant can do a boil and if so, ask if they will offer a discount since they are also doing her wedding.  If they don't, ask if they can recommend someone.  I know of a guy, but unfortunately, he doesn't travel that far.
