OBX Knotties Webpage!

A couple of other boards do this, so I thought it might be a good idea to have a webpage we all can hold onto wtih information about our weddings, vendor reviews, stuff like that. I made a domain (obxknotties.weebly.com) but since I don't have any information yet, it's not anything.

If you want to be included on the page, send me as much information you're comfortable with:

I will search through the boards to find vendors that have been reviewed, but if you would like to share your vendors, you can do that either here or through email.

It just mean you have a Private Message. And we did nominate OBX to be our board Moderator but the powers that be at theknot have to set it up and have yet to do so.

Wow, I went to work and came back to a whole new board! You girls (and guy ) could rule the world, I swear!

I swear I'm missing a bride gene or something. Does anyone else ever feel this way? My sister was a psycho planning her wedding worrying about everything down to the color of the bubbles she passed out and all I care is that I'm at the beach. Is that bad?

TeachLibrary...my daughter sounds a lot like you! She just wants the wedding day to get here! She tells me what she likes and doesn't like and then I do the research. LOL!

I totally know how you feel, Teach! Just think of it, instead, as planning a big party. You can be the kind of bride you want to be, don't feel like you have to fit into some bride mold. I struggled with this alot in the beginning of my planning. But eventually I realized it's just about what you and your FI want, not what anyone else wants. Now just keep repeating that to yourself for the next few months! LOL

Nar, it all depends on your personality and noone needs to be anything other than what they are to be a wonderful, happy bride.  I am super laid back when it comes to most of my life.  I LOVE to just hang and party with friends.  But, when it comes to planning a party or something like my wedding.  I am a super psycho nutty planner down to every last detail ;o)

I don't have the bride gene either! When we were planning the bigger wedding... all I was was a big stressball because I actually didn't WANT any of it. Now that we're doing what we want, I'm just hanging out.

This is very exciting Nar!  I'm anxious to see the page & hats off to you b/c I wouldn't even know where to begin for starting a webpage

I also posted a thread about an obx knotties group that Mpar created on FB a few weeks ago.  Once you join the group, there is a link on the right side of the page called "Knottie SNs" so that you can put your Knot screen name beside your real name so we can keep track of who is who.

Thanks for doing this!  I just sent you an email, but I thought this point was worth bringing up:


I think it would be useful to include on the venues page the event homes that people use with some other info (like max capacity) because I was really set on using an event home and it was a huge pain to research all of them and even some of the company websites aren't helpful when it comes to giving info (like whether or not a home can even be used as an event home, capacity, etc).
