mean knotties? who knew!?

I was just on the "regular" boards on the knot looking for backyard casual at home reception ideas.  I saw the Smores idea originally and thought I should poke around for more ideas- wow, bad idea.  There are some mean knotties out there! 
I saw one girl ask a question about an AHR and she got reemed by people saying it's rude to have an AHR and how dare she and telling her she was tacky.  I saw another girl being told to grow up and another being told they give awful advice.  I was shocked to see this!!!!

I am so thankful you are all normal and nice and helpful on the OBX board.  I'm spoiled!

I've seen a definite difference between this board and some of the others, a couple in particular.  I hardly go to others anymore.

That's just craziness! ...Not to mention just plain poor knottie behavior! Maybe beachy brides are just a little more chill...well, when it comes to one another and not so much the actual planning part. We've all had our meltdowns on here. hehe

There's definitely some nastiness out there.  One girl asked if she should have her guests pay for dinner and they reemed her out for it.  Granted, it's not proper etiquette to have your guest pay to attend your reception but there is a such thing as tact.

Ohhhhh I have felt the wrath of the nastiness on the other boards!!! 

I have been reemed out, been told I was annoying and that obx2011 stood for obnoxious and have even been voted as "Least Liked Knottie" so trust me, I know how you are feeling.  I haven't been to ANY of the other boards in over 2 months and plan to keep it that way.  I have no desire to mingle with people that have nothing but pure nastiness for other people.  It is very very very much a "sorority" on the other boards.....2 in particular actually.

Stay here with us lovie....we truly are THE best TK has to offer

I haven't been on a SINGLE other board because whenever I think about looking at them, I remember some of the stuff yall have said about mean girls haha.. what is wrong with people?! This is supposed to be fun & exciting, not bitchy. That's just insane!

I have also seen the meanness on the other boards and quickly decided the OBX board would be my only board.

I am going on record and saying that OBX(Char) stands for Outstanding Bride Xstrordannaire(can't spell it but you get the picture). 

F the other boards Idy and stay right here where the COOL peeps are at!  We are OBX Brides, ahem AND A GROOM, and we ROCK!  Enough said.

Well, I guess none of those brides are familiar with the grand Southern weddings and receptions such as the one in Steel Magnolias.  On my, I need to get my mint julep now.  It is hot as blazes out there.  Lordy, I am so glad OBX is only having her ceremony outside or I would just melt.  Where is my fan?!?

Agreed! They bit my head off after I came to a bride's defense. She had cancelled her wedding and all the knotties were saying how she deserved it!!! I was appalled. Anyway, needless to say, our board is the best of the best people. I stay away from all the others.

Here is some Knot gossip for ya:

The story is that the E board has had it's share of "regs" for awhile but from what I gathered...there was a huge throwdown with all of the girls on SB (snarky) and so some of them left and went to the E board, so that explains the nasty behavior.  They left one board to continue their behavior on another.  Sad but true.  Like I said, nothing but a sorority and not for me.

ETA:  and I agree with you Maria....ironic that the E board, of ALL places, has such nasty people, lol
