TTD- Classy or just plain Trashy

You know I've been OBSESSED lately with finding a photographer and looking at TTD photos. There seems to be quite a variety...

This one is just plain GORGEOUS!...

This one starts adding the heat...

And, this one I'm not sure I could do - whether it's the level of sensuality or the fact that I don't think I can pull it off... (it's the second to last one)

But, these are more my style...
There are NO words to say how much I love this one

or maybe something like this..

Or this..

But anyhoodle- now that I have tied up half of your morning hooking up these links... I beg to ask the question...

When can a TTD shoot turn from classy to trashy? While I'd love some more sensual pieces, I don't want to be embarrassed if my parents see them on a wall!

btw... was I the only one that noticed in that one photo shoot the girl looks like she's trying to pop a squat? And they say romance is dead! hahaha

http://www.brilliant.tc/2010/07/construction-site-trash-dress/- Haha this one is blocked at my computer so it must be crazy- lol!

I like the umbrella one and the more prudish ones- I'm a private person though and I just can't imagine people seeing my in some of those poses- it's my own insecurities though.  They are beautiful.
The other thing to consider is who you show them to.  I imagine my niece or nephew or future kids looking through my pics and seeing those and I know when I was liitle I'd freak if I saw my parent's or an aunt and uncle in those poses.

I agree with ldybug, I like the umbrella one the best. The construction site one is a little confusing to me lol....forgive me for saying this but it reminds me of that show "Redneck Weddings" :)

I seriously think some of this has A LOT to do with the photographer who shoots them. There are ways to shoot it AND edit it to help it look like a classy TTD session rather than that construction site with all the over saturated colors and overdone contrast. I think if you find a photographer whose aesthetic you like in general you could brainstorm with them about how to do it.

I think you have to consider the purpose of your pictures.  If they're just for you and DH and that's what you like, go for it.  It also depends on your dress because some of the fabrics cling to your body and get sheer.  Couples can also do boudoir pictures together if they're looking for hot pictures.

I'm more in line with ldybug and Sarah.  For us, I wanted pictures I could put on our walls or in our album for family and friends to look at.  I wouldn't feel comfortable sharing some of those other pictures that way.  Granted, some of ours could have gone either way though.  DH is up against the pier in several shots and I'm leaning in kissing him.  I didn't press up against him though, so I think the pictures are more sweet than sensual that way.  Same for the ones where I'm straddling him on the beach, which could have gone either way too.

I did Trash the Dress pictures and they are some of my absolute favorites.  I also had so much fun taking them because I knew I wasn't missing any of my cocktail hour or reception!  I think they are gorgeous and romantic and not at all trashy.

My photographer and I discussed the types of photographs I was looking for well before the day.  I didn't want anything like rolling around in the sand and surf with my husband.  I wanted things like us holding hands, walking ankle deep, with the ocean taking my train.  I did end up running into the ocean full steam with one of my bridesmaids at the end and got pretty soaked during that, but those are completely silly and not trashy or embarrassing either.

The underwater ones are beautiful!! But I don't know how I'd look-I have trouble keeping my eyes open above water!!

I still shake my head about this TTD thing.  I guess Kel will ultimately decide on whether she wants to do it or not.  Either way, i'll be comfortable with what she decides.

I think it would be fun to have a hot steamy one framed in the bedroom!  I think I might do this and then just replace the picture once I start having kids with a more family friendly image :)

I love the underwater photos!  I'm impressed that under water those brides still look perfect!
