Heading to OBX...

Ladies.
FI & I are heading to OBX this weekend to do some planning and get some loose ends tied. If anyone is in need of anything please let me know :)
Hoping the weather is nicer than what they are calling for. Any fun ideas the 2 of can do if the weather craps out on us. I've been to all the lighthouses, so would rather not do that again.
We need something FUN to do. We have a 10mo old son, so this trip is well deserved for us both.

The aquarium is good for a rainy day, but everyone else usually has the same idea so it's a bit more crowded.  We fondly remember our first day in the OBX together (years ago) where it started to pour the minute we crossed the bridge and didn't let up until nightfall. It felt like a monsoon!  Gotta love their weather because it cleared up and the rest of the week was beautiful.

HAVE FUN! It was beautiful weather for us, even though we had a stormy day it passed quickly through. Enjoy the beautiful beach and wide-open skies. It certainly reminded me why we chose OBX to marry, it's just the perfect setting, you really can't go wrong. Enjoy.

KR.....Jkramas is going down this weekend too!  Small world ;)

The aquarium is a sure bet :)  There is always shopping at the outlet malls but The Christmas Shop in Manteo is one of my fave places.  Its nothing like your typical Christmas shop b/c besides all of the Christmas stuff, it has an amazing art gallery inside as well.  Take a sweater though b/c they intentionally keep it really cold in there for the whole Christmas affect.  Scarborough Faire up in Duck is really neat to walk around too....all sorts of different shops and what not.

Ummmmm....you could always stay under the covers on a rainy day, he he he.
Ok let me behave over here...or not ;)

Have a fabulous time and you must stick your toes in the sand and have a drink for all of us ladies back at home ;)

jkramas....our trip was wonderful  :) The weather cooperated and we actually got some beach time(future hubby got burnt)!! We scheduled everything we could in the morning so we had the afternoons and evening to do as we pleased!!!
We met with our photographer, DJ, and cake lady. Cakes by Robin; she was wonderful. Invited us right into her home and "fed us"! ha  I am doing my own flowers, so I checked out a few places, gonna go with Harris Teeter. Just need to call them 6 wks in advance and they will have everything I need!!!

Recommend "The Dunes" for breakfast. We ate there twice, we liked it so much(cheaper than most places too). Good luck to you this weekend, let us know how you make out. If I can help with anything let me know.
