I was wondering the same thing for myself.  We will all be barefoot on the beach and I let the girls pick their own shoes since their gowns are long, just as long as the shoes are silver.

Now finding my shoes...that may be tricky to find THE ones.  My shoes are my "something blue" and I want a pair of royal blue with a rhinestone cluster, kind of like Carrie's from Sex & The City....but not that price, lol.

What are you thinking of doing for your girls and yourself?  Give me something to work with and I will help you out :)

We are doing the ceremony barefoot too, just need something for the reception. I LOVE the Carrie shoes from SATC! So funny you mentioned that :)

So the BM dresses are eggplant purple w/ivory underlay and sash. I'm not sure what color shoes would look good with it...maybe ivory too?

My shoes have to be a small heel cause I'm already very tall and don't need 6 six heels so I tower over everyone all day. I like the idea of a blinged out leather sandal. My dress has no beading at all so it would be fun to have some sparkle in my shoes. I have been looking on Zappos but not had any luck.

I searched everywhere for a small heeled sandal in hot pink for me.  Couldn't find anything so I started looking at the shoes you could get dyed.  DB and Payless has good options, I ended up getting mine at DB and had them dyed.  My BM's I just let them pick any silver sandal they wanted.  I found one a few I liked and emailed them and 2 got something off my list and 2 didn't, which was fine.  DSW also has some good options I've heard.

I went back and forth on this too.  Barefoot for the ceremony on the beach (with back up wedge flip flops in case the sand is hot).  I only have a MOH and she can do whatever she wants.  I think she mentioned silver sandals.  I wanted to do blue shoes too but could seem to find the right shade and style of blue for my dress.  I had several ivory satin flowered heeled sandals, but ended up taking them all back.  I found these at Nordstrom.  It's kind of hard to tell, but they are a sparkly gold, silver and blue mix.  Then I'm going to add a blue bow like the bottom photo.

I can't remember what the SATC shoes look like.

I found a cute pair of flip flops from J Crew for the ceremony if the sand is too hot, though I don't think that will be a problem after we have it raked.  They're purple with purple flowers and had a shiny gold center that I swapped for purple.

I wanted purple for my reception shoes too, but didn't have any luck finding the color in a low pump.  I ended up going with a white shoe I found on zappos.com.  I was nervous about having them dyed because my green BM shoes from another wedding stained my feet after I got them wet. :)

You could always add a shoe clip bow or flower similar to PP... etsy has a lot of options!

Are the dresses long or short?  If long, I would probably go with a purple or silver shoe b/c you may not want to see an ivory shoe poking out from a purplish gown.  If short, then I would go with again....a purple or silver low heel.  Can you tell that I like silver shoes, lol?  Let me know the length of dress and I will give you some ideas :)

Do you like these for yourself:

And it looks like they have lots of different sparkly sandals to choose from.  I actually just Googled "sparkly sandal" and clicked on images and waaaaa-laaaa.

Ah, yes, I forgot she was into the Manolos.  Those are pretty.  Good thing they're too narrow for me.

I am choosing to go barefoot for the ceremony, so are my BM's and GM's...for the reception I will still be barefoot but have a flip flop back up. Since the reception is at our event home, I'm not too concerned with my shoes?!

I had the same problem with finding the *perfect* shoes for my tastes.  I ended up finding a pair of shoes on etsy that was similar to what I wanted, and then emailing the artist and asking her if she could make another pair and tweak them to suit my needs.  Nothing like having a pair of shoes made to your specifications for only $80!!!!  :)  I would go that route again in a heart beat!

My daughter just got married 6/4/11; she wore a sandlal sort of like OBX 2011 picture = all the attendants and guys were barefoot to inlcude my husband who walked her down the sand... the temp was about 78 degrees at ceremony time.

She then had flip flops (white-girls) brown for guys that they all wore during the reception under the tent... worked out well.

Good Luck to all you upcoming brides.... Enjoy your day.  I know my daughter did

Ohhh thanks for the site....I wasn't sure about spending the $160 that I had seen.

No, we are definitely going barefoot in the sand but I will wear these for the reception :)

SO the Badgley Mischka shoes just arrived this afternoon and mine were actually a tad  too small :-(  So I will be trying to reorder them in a bigger size.  Just FYI...also, they are REALLY high, approx. 4in heels!  If that doesn't bother you then they are an awesome pair of shoes !
