The ipod thing

I noticed looking at your vendor lists that so many of you have decided to use your own ipod's for music... couple of questions about that...

1. Are any of you having your ceremonies on the actual beach and if so, then what are you hooking your ipod up to?

2. If you are at 108 Budleigh, what are the hook ups like there?

3. Who are you going to have be responsible for changing music as necessary or who will keeping an eye on things for your first dance?

Let me know your thoughts and anything else you think of regarding the ipod thing.

We used the ipod on the beach.  We rented two speakers from Ocean Atlantic and put them at the very back of our chairs and off to the side where they wouldn't show in pictures.  Then we ran a wire, somewhat under the sand, to DH's brother (front end seat).  He was able to run music that way for our ceremony.  Afterward, we moved the setup into the reception room and hit start on our playlist.  DH's brother took care of the first dance songs as well.

We did have connection problems where the lyrics were lower than the music itself.  They said this happens sometimes, something about a connection in the speaker.  No one was able to fix it (the guys delivering the chairs) so we just went with it.  It's something you might want to have someone test out when the speakers are dropped off if you go that route.  By the time we realized it, it was too late.

We're using the iPod for the beach ceremony and have an awesome docking station with remote. We still have to figure out how to hide it, (no chairs- only 2 benches) but probably just under the bench, and I think one of the bridesmaids will be in charge or the remote.  Otherwise, a family member that will be sitting on the bench anyway can have the control.
