FI's brother said he is not coming to the wedding today. It is sad because that is the only person FI wants or cares that is there. I thought it was money related so I told FI to offer for us to pay for his ticket. He has not even responded and I feel terrible. My family is coming from all over the country and they really want to be here and are so excited for us. He knows how important this is to his brother/ my FI. I just don't get it.

Sorry to hear about your FI's brother.  I've got a few that I really wanted to be there that aren't coming and they even asked for an invitation.  wtf?

Thats unfortunate that he wont be there. Have you tried having one of the parents call him to see what is up?

So no one knows why he isn't coming?  Can he ask him why?  I know guys don't really share their feelings, but maybe he could tell him that its really important.

I'm sorry to hear about that.  It's hard when you want someone to be there, and they aren't.  I had quite a few that didn't show up to my wedding that I was really hoping would be there.  Best asvice is to try, but not push.  You can't force someone and it's hard, but try and let it go.  Don't let it overshadow your big day.

I know he will be the one missing out. I am just so close with all of my family and my heart would be breaking if my siblings couldn't be there. I just feel bad for FI because the only family member that is making an effort to come is his dad. Oh well at least my fam knows how to have a good time!
