January 2012 Weddings

Got our first RSVP No and invites didn't go out yet!

This is what I recieved from my FI's aunt last night through facebook:

"Mark, myself, Johnathan and Amanda, Rachel, Sarah, and Dave will not be able to come to wedding. Please accept this as everyone's RSVP that we will not be attending. Everyone said no need to send invites. May your wedding be everything you dreamed."

I have not even sent out the invitations yet! Since we do not have a lot of family attending, especially on my side, I was looking forward to seeing/meeting these family members at the wedding. Besides for his aunt and uncle, the rest of the people are FI's first cousins! They only live 4 hours away. They could make it work.

Also, since her children are all adults, why would she RSVP for them? That's terrible that they can't decide or speak up for themselves. Plus, Johnathan and my FI are close. They talk on facebook all the time and he was asking for an invitation. However, I do have to say that we did not attend his wedding this past September, but that is because it was 14 hours away and we couldn't afford to fly, rent a car, get a hotel, etc. If this is the reason, then I feel like it is very silly to say, "we're not going to their wedding because they did not come to ours." I'm tired of people acting so rude!
