I want to start of by saying I love my FILs, they are wonderful people. I need to vent about this situation to some that isn't involved.
FBIL has a friend, a very nice friend, who has found herself on hard times, and my FILs have agreed to take her in for 8 months for little rent, so that she can finish her college career... I have my theories that they are more than friends, which I would LOVE! The problem is that FBIL has the attitude that the car that he and FI share is now his, and that FI needs to pay for it. I have had a few discussions, and I don't get the vibe that this is his parents' intentions at all, but this is his intention. He has always had the attitude that it is his car, even though it has been earmarked for FI.
Needless to say, when I asked about this 3 months ago, when we still had time to shop, and get finances in order for a car, it wasn't a problem. Now, if FILs side with FBIL, it means a car or a honeymoon for us, not both.
FI needs the car to finish school.
On a positive note, I am about half way done with invites and dress! I will post pics soon in another post!
