Favors?

Anyone else start on them yet? My mother decided we needed to work on them, over a month before the wedding. She said I'll be too busy with other things before the wedding and I guess I can see her point. Just seems weird to me to have them assembled and sitting around for a month. And now my fingers are sore from tying 100 tiny bows!

One of Joy's aunts is sending something from Thailand.  Couldn't quite make out what they were, but they have hearts on them.

I finished up my favors (except for the homemade cookies which I can't bake yet - but the ribbons are tied for those as well).  I figured I could just get it checked off the list early so that I can enjoy the holidays (and focus on stuff I can't get done early)

I finished up my main favors and will work on the Jordan Almonds (all my moms idea lol) when my family is around at Christmas. We figure we can put them all into the containters and place them in a zip lock bag for storage.

I got lucky. The winery where I am having my reception at is making us little champagne bottles with custom lables.

We are doing a photo booth. The photos will be the favors.

we ordered snow globes to hold the place cards and I made personalized match boxes, they will also get to go containers for cupcakes, all are done have been for months.

jealous!!! I wanted a photo booth so bad but my FI just couldn't justify the expense...

We're doing a DIY photobooth for less than $100. We're going to purchase Sparkbooth photobooth software and set up a laptop and photo printer at the reception. We purchased various props at the dollar store and Goodwill and were able to get photo paper from Staples free after rebate.

You could also hire someone to take pictures of people at the reception and then just upload them or email them to your guests. You could probably hire a photography student for fairly cheap since they would just be doing simple portraits.

Gary and I are both in dentistry so we're going to have white chocolate molars in little bags and also a seperate bag with a monogrammed toothbrush that says "Mrs and Mrs ourlastname", toothpaste and floss--with an attached "appointment card" that basically says:  Dr. & Mrs. Ourlastname have an appointment and our wedding date..... Cheese, I know, but cute and it's so us! .... My twin sister has lots of time on her hands and if constructing all of this stuff for us.. I don't think she realy finished everything yet.... :-)

We do have a dessert table for our wedding in addition to traditional cake that we are kind of considering a favor ...  but for our favors we decided to give money in everyone's name to charity water....in our guests name. We will make little cards for every table that say something cute about it and have the website if anyone is interested in giving. Here's the website if anyone wants to check it out...100% goes to help give clean water to people across the world. My fiance and I love this cause and thought it would be a great way to put some of our wedding money to use where it could really make a difference.

It was our original intent that there weren't going to be favors.  However, her aunt bought them for us so we're handing them out.

I opted out of doing favors.  We are having such a small wedding and it was one more thing I would have to pack up to take with me.  So it got crossed off the list.  I did make a huge batch of hot cocoa mix last weekend for some homemade Christmas gifts.  I'm planning to take the remainder (made way more than i needed) to the wedding so I guess I could consider that their favors.
