Giant Grocery Store

Hi,
Has anyone used Giant Grocery Store Bakery and/or Florist for their wedding or know someone who did? Their brochure looks great and I'm trying to save money in these areas. I get a lot of 'comments' when I tell people I'm considering using a grocery store for our wedding. Any thoughts and experience is appreciated. Thanks!

I didn't use them for our cake (we went to Sam's Club) but I was at a bridal show and they were handing out samples and had some of their cakes there.  They looked and tasted great!!  I think you will be ok getting your cake from there.

I haven't however we used Wegmans for our Flowers and they were very inexpensive and beautiful!  The only catch was at the time we had to have someone pick them up.  Not sure if they have delivery at this time?

I ordered a Wedding cake for my parents 25th anni. and it was awesome.  they made it look just like my parents wedding cake, and it tasted great!!!

Well, if you don't tell people that you're getting it from a grocery store, I bet no one will really be able to tell. Plus, no comments. I don't think it's a huge deal, it is a great way to save money.
One thing that I would suggest is to make sure you talk to the person who will actually be doing your cake. Not everyone who works in a grocery store bakery necessarily knows what the decorators can or can't do, or knows how to take your order properly.
