Just booked my B-pics

As stated before, I wasn't sure I was going to do them.  I found someone on craigslist that bought a living social deal for 39.00 and is selling it for 35. It includes a babydoll and the shoot. I thought it was a good deal.  Now I am super nervouse.

Also, I looked at the prices of the prints. JEEZE!!!!!! I think I may have thought twice about this one had I fully looked into this. The prints start at 350.00 for 22 images in a book.

Part of me is freaking out.  The other part, is telling me that I will never do this again and I got a good deal on the shoot, so maybe its worth it.

but my emotions have been a roller coaster today. In the matter of 5 mins, I lost hours at my job because they are cutting back, and then got an email saying I start a new job (salary unknown, but its a professor at a community college) in Jan.

So maybe its ok?

Sigh, Thoughts?

I think it's awesome that you have the guts to do them!.. It's something that I've always wanted to do, but I'm not 100% happy with my body right now so I'm hesitant. I just need to ball up and do it too! Have fun with it! Wear something that makes you feel fabulous, sexy and confident! Can't wait to hear how it goes!

I think its is awesome that you are doing it!  Would you feel better doing it after the wedding or would you rather get it done before the wedding?  I have been debating this myself!!

I say go with it and try to be about it. You'll love them in the end, I'm sure. Money is just money and it comes and goes. Why not spend it on something you and your FI will love? At least you'll have these pictures the rest of your life.

Did you say you're going to be working as a professor at a Community College? That's awesome, congrats! I plan on doing that myself after I finish my master's. What will you be teaching?

Thanks Tara! Thats kinda what I was thinking. I may wait a bit after the wedding to get it done. It expires in April. You ladies are awesome. I had a break down and told J last night. He thinks I should do it more a confidence booster.  Plus lets be honest, he wants to see the pics. ;)

I haven't signed the paperwork, but I got an email saying the proposal went through.  I will be teaching 3 classes I think.  They are 2 credit classes that are half in class and half online.  I will be teaching a section with aspergers/austic students, a section of people with learning disabilities, and one other one that isn't coming to mind right now.  This is a completely new project, so its whatever I come up with.  We are just seeing that these students are struggling in their regular classes, including classroom behavior.  So I will be covering basically...how to go to college and succeed with a a disability.  Kinda like an orientation. I kinda took it with knowing my salary. eek!  I will know more when I go to work on Monday.

That sounds wonderful! I wish you luck with it. Teaching Aspergers students is hard. My brother (although not offically dignosed) has characteristics of Aspergers. He can loose his temper on the drop of a dime and he obsesses over things. However, he is very smart. His intelligence is kinda scary actually. He can tell you details of  an event that occured 20 years ago. He also remembers everything he reads so his knowledge is very broad. I think you'll enjoy working with Aspergers/Autistic students!

Congrats on the new job! My job cut my hours as well yesterday. I'm supposed to be taking B-pics as well. Mine were free for booking my photog in 2011, but I'm not sure if I've passed the time to get them done and am kind of hesitant about it because i think I don't want to take them anymore.. not because I'm scared or nervous..I just don't feel like going through the hassle of driving to GA to get them done.

Congrats on the job. I say wait until after the wedding for the pics. It will be worth the expense. I am going to do them for our first anniversary.
