So my shower was on Sunday, it was supposed to be a surprise but people kept telling me things and then I put it all together, I finally told Fi the night before that it was killing me to watch him lie to me so it was time to fess up that I knew.
It was great, lots of people came and my sisters were telling me how many people offered to help with different things, made me all mushy knowing how many people wanted to contribute! We got some amazing gifts and have already unpacked most of it! We are crazy lol, Fi is going to build shelves in a closet in our kitchen this coming weekend so we can organize it all and see what we can give to goodwill and whatnot.
Of course it all didnt go without one flaw.. the FMIL literally tried to get me worked up at the shower. She sucks so bad.
but I just apologized to everyone else at her table and said " I dont know why you want to keep doing this.. I'm going to be an adult and walk away"
Luckily my family is amazing and just made everything so easy that this was the only issue. I'm surprised at some of the stuff we did get and from people I'd never have thought. It's almost humbling to have so much support
