Thank you notes

How do I word thank you notes? Do I thank each person for the specific gift they gave me? What about if I exchanged their gift for something else? The only people who were at my shower were the ones who threw it. I want to make sure to thank them for all their hard work. The decorations were amazing and we are reusing them for the decorations on the truck my FI and I will be using at the wedding. Thanks in advance!

I would say something like...

Dear Aunt/sister/mom ect

Thank you so much for the beautiful shower you threw. We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. ( The gift) or say something like the gift you gave us was so wonderful. We are very excited to use it in our home.  Thank you so much for your generous gift. 

We love you!

Also depending on the person I personalized it and tried to make it funny instead of the boring TY note. I haven't finished mine yet, im getting to it after finals

I wrote something like:

Thank you so much for coming to my bridal shower. It was so great having you there! Thank you for the __________. It is a great gift that I can't wait to start using.

I would definetly go personalized. I am going to with the people that threw the shower. As far as returning gifts, I would write about the gift, and not say anything about returning.

Thank you note should be from your heart......So just say whatever you want.....But don’t just say thanks to them for their gifts but say thanks to them for making your so special and memorable for you.....For making it perfect with their presence......To be with you on your big day.....To be happy with your happiness.......

So just say it in whatever way you want to convey your feelings to them........
